Mežvidi Agricultural and Technology Park is located on the eastern border of Latvia, in Ludza region, Mežvidu rural municipality, Klonešniki and currently occupies an area of more than 15 ha.

The origins of its establishment can be traced back to 2009, when several entrepreneurs of the region and their cooperation partners came together, and the implementation of a project was started, combining production of renewable energy and growing vegetables in greenhouses using organic farming methods.
The challenges and opportunities of the implemented project became the basis for the creation of the Mežvidi Agricultural and Technology Park, which brings together companies, research institutions (universities), industry associations and organizations to create and develop green (clean) technologies in agriculture, energy and electronics.

Mežvidi Agricultural Technology Park

In the territory of the Mežvidi Agricultural and Technology Park, in cooperation with state institutions, local governments and the Latgale planning region, the infrastructure for business and research and technology development activities is constantly being developed and improved.

In order to better coordinate the above-mentioned activities, in 2015 the association "Mežvidi Agricultural and Technology Park" was established.

Mežvidi Agricultural and Technology Park companies, in cooperation with universities and other partners, have been involved in a number of research and development projects with high potential for economic use and significant future investment in tackling climate change and creating a greener tomorrow, with EU co-financing.
